data base crashes every day in XP Pro

I have been using a data base in 98 for years with no problems but when I switched to a new computer with XP Pro it crashes about once a day. We use this data base 99% of the time so I really do not use any other programs to notice problems

I made a boot disk with this XP computer and down loaded the latest BOIS but that didn't help. Funny thing is when I booted with that floppy it said starting 98. Makes me wonder if this computer was upgraded from 98 to XP but I bought it new with XP on it

Someone suggested using the XP cd to repair XP but I am not sure what I should repair or how to do it
