How can I play .DAT file in my windows 2000 pro machine?
the latest media player says, it doesn't support that
format. Is there any free player for Win2k machines like Xine?

the .DAT-format can be almost anything, cause its used by many applicatiuons
as data-files where they store anything they want, but, if you're sure, that
this file must be a video, then it should open with the normal windows media
player, give version 6.4 a try :-) you can also try to add the file in your
favouriter burning software to a video cd, cause .dat as video is used on
VCDs
