DAO (Data Access Objects) 3.5 Can someone please tell me what this is
for.. it's on my computer and is taking up a lot of space.. I tried to find
out by googling, but didn't come up with anything that I could understand..
would this be safe to uninstall...the reason I want to is I have limited
hard drive space.. thanks Rainy

Microsoft's set of dll's etc. for acccessing and manipulating databases. Space is cheap
these days. Leave it alone, lest you foul up a program that uses it.

Installed with Access/Office, and I believe Win, a required process.

There is no facility to remove using Add/Remove dialogue attempting to
delete the folder will likely cause all sorts of problems.
As will deleting any folder that contains system files/application files
unless you use a provided uninstall procedure.

Buy a new HD and slave it.

DAO components take up a very tiny amount of space. You must be looking at
something else. As MikeR and DL have said leave er be.
