Hi

I've just assembled an Asus T2P system and have a connector coming off the
front of the machine that I can't find a place for on the motherboard. It
comes from the memory stick daughterboard and is a five pin jumper-style
connector.

I can't find anything in the manual or on the asus site. Can anyone tell me
where this cable should be connected, or point me in the right direction for
more information?

Thanks

Memory... 5 pins... sounds like SMBus. Is there an SMBus connector on
the motherboard? If so the 2nd pin from one end should be missing, and
the connector should have a corressponding blank so you can only connect
it one way. This allows the BIOS to read the memory SPD proms using I2C
protocol.

Thanks for the hint, but all five pins are in use (the cables coming into
them are black, black, blue, white and red). It looks like it's related to
the card reader (the card reader software won't install).

Thanks for your help anyhow

d'oh.

Just figured out what you were saying to start with.

Is there an SMBus variant or lookalike which uses five pins?

I just downloaded the T2P manual... on page 79 it says the storage card
reader daughterboard connects to pins 1 through 5 on the USB78 connector.
