As a novice at this sorta thing, I am overwhelmed & confused by all the
tech' advice I saw on Google (& here).

Came across Smitfraud-C & MyGlobalsearch & lord know what else.

I have Avasti & Spybot. Even tried HouseCall. Ran all 3, *apparently* got
rid of lots of Trojans but I'm still getting really annoying ad pop-ups. I
use Firefox & it's opening my IE by itself & they're piling up! Help!

I sure could use a step by step, get rid of this helper. Thanks!

No matter what ANYONE says, no matter how many cleaners you run, there
is only 1 way to be certain your machine is clean - wipe it and
reinstall in a clean environment.

Yea, it's a PITA, but not one ethical person would tell you that your
machine is 100% clean unless you wipe/rebuild it in a clean environment.

Indeed.

I know a lot of security software providers who would tell you so.

Yep, so do I, but there are lot of people that will tell you anything
you want to hear to get the job too.
