Hello group, about half the time when i start my computer up, the screen
after the Dell logo appears split into 4 windows. Thats right, 4 seperate
screens in 1. Doesn't seem to matter if it hibernates or is shutdown. I
already tried 2 newer drivers, one from dells website and a really new one
from ATI thats not dell approved. Same thing happened. Could it be the LCD
monitor and the digital input connection? Is there a problem with the ATI
driver that anyone knows about? Its a e52dell with 5000x2 proc and 4g
memory. Please respond to (e-mail address removed) since i cant see my posts
for some reason, Thanks in advance

It doesn't sound like a video card problem. It sounds like some kind of
desktop management software. I'd look in that direction.

I've got a button on my mouse that puts all open windows in a TILE rather
than CASCADE.

Check your mouse settings? Don't cost nothing.

i've tested a program called "DeskmanPowerToy" that does what you
describe... it aims to able 4 virtual desktops in winXP and Vista, and
maybe you have it installed without knowing...

those virtual desktops are not completed, as we don't have the ability to
move a window from a desktop to another like it's done in linux, but it
gives you 4 virtual desktops witch is great if you work with lots of
programs simultaneous. when you're dealing with 40 open programs on the
same desktop, it becames confusing.
