Damn the conditional formatting

Hi there, as you can tell I am having real problems with Conditional
Formatting.
I have overcome a lot of problems thanks to these forums, but am still
experiencing a few niggles.
I have a continuous form that shows multiple results gathered by results
from a combo box, if a tick box is ticked the record goes red. Via a unbound
textbox that if it equals -1 then the colour is changed.
The results are all locked so the record cannot be edited, however now when
I click on a record the whole record goes red (it is like the bacground text
box is being bought to the forefront), when I click onto another record in
the subform, that one goes red (as before) and the previous record is
returned to the correct view.
This problem only occurs on the current record, as when I add another record
and the subfrom is requeried, the record that is appended to the results is
completely covered in red (no information can be viewed until I click on to
another record).

Not sure if I understand.... there is an unbound text box that changes
color if a check box is checked?

In design mode, select the text box, then goto the
menu bar Format| Send to Back.

Hi Steve, I thought you had hit the nail on the head, but sadly that did not
fix my problem.
The colour is working fine, but everytime a record is added, the 1st record
looks like that background text box has jumped to the front. If I press
Ctrl+A (select all) the information appears, as it does when I lose focus and
click on record 2,3,4 etc.

In actual fact it happens whether on the input form I check the box or not.
If I don't tick the box on the input form the record is added but it is
totally white!!

Sorry, this is really difficult for me to describe, I have never had this
before. It has to be something to do with the unbound text box, as when I
delete it, the problem goes away!!

I've played with it a little but haven't gotten it to work yet. In the
