I have a 5.1 creative sound system.

This morning i started up some music when i noticed that two speakers just were not producing any sound. All the wires were plugged in so we thought one of the speakers was duff. However after swapping the wires around to see which ones worked, we managed to get 2 and the bass working, then one (only a very quiet sound made) and the bass. which leaves one speaker that hasnt done anything. Its most likely a loose connection or a duff speaker, but i just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas :).

Thank you for all your replies :)

I'd try the speakers on another system if possible, or at least all of the 3.5mm jacks in a radio or something like that. It might not be the speakers, so its worth checking :)

You have two possibilities ...

The Speakers or to what they are attached.

;)

Me and my pa have had better look at the speakers and connections, and we think its most likely the speakers themselves. The most we have working at any one time is 3 out of 5 but there is one speaker that doesnt work at all, no matter where we plug it.

You come up with the problem, you come up with the solution as well, you naughty boy! :D

I think they incorporate them into their chipset drivers

I have to install them for my onboard chipset
