Damaged Files

Hi I have a problem I hope you guys and help me with.

During an Uninstall of a McAfee securty centre,my window
files have become damaged.

I have my original win2000 pro disc with the 4 boot up
disc.When i put these in and select repair I am getting 2
prompts

1. For valid Installation Number
2. For administrator password

I have tried putting in the disc's serial number on the
1st point above, but it only seems to let me put in one
diget

I type in my windows sign in password into 2nd item still
with no success.

Can anyone give me some things to try please

You are at the recovery console, not the setup /repair option.

Do a manual repair from setup, tip 2039 in the 'Tips & Tricks' at
