I'm trying to fix a Windows 2000 system that has a problem
with explorer.exe. Whenever even the most common file
system tasks such as perusing for a file, explorer quits
and jumps into a dr.watson message. Occasionally,
explorer will work for a short time but always eventually
quits. This system is at Service Pack 4 with current
upgrades. It has current virus protection and a personal
firewall.
What is the easiest way to reinstall explorer.exe without
a total reinstall?
Thanks, joeford
