Daily update of a value

Hiya, I need to copy a cells value once every day. So, for example, at midnight it would copy the value to another cell that would retain the value until the next midnight when it would be updated again
The reason for this is to track how much the original value changes on a daily basis
I'm kinda new to formulas in Excel so all help is appreciated.
