d:\ drive does not read a cd

I insert a cd in my pc and it does not read it or give me the choice to open
it at all. I am going nuts because i insert it in another pc and it works.
What can i do to solve this problem, please somebody there. I go to my
computer and right click on the icon for the cd drive but it does not allow
me to explore it either, a message pops up saying D:\ is not accessible.
