I have a 20 minute movie and 15 slides. I want the movie to
run for the 20 minutes and the slides to recycle. Tried
movie in slide 1 but cant get from last slide to 2nd slide
w/o mouse click or over. Tried movie in 'master' but resets
to t=0 on recycle.
Any suggestions?

Ok. Just double-checked to make sure this works, and it does. Thought it
would, but it's been awhile since I've tried it out. So here are the steps.

1. Insert/Movies and Sounds/Movie from File
2. Navigate to your movie and click OK
3. Say yes when asked if you want it to play automatically
4. Select the video on the slide and then Slide Show/Custom Animation
5. In the custom animation task pane, right-click on the first instance of
the movie and select Effect Options.
6. In Effect Options, put 999 in the box for "stop playing after xxx
slides."

Thanks, got this far but the kicker is this:
returning to slide 2 (movie is on slide 1) with out an
'action button' or requiring a mouse over or click. going
back to slide 1 restarts the movie.

I'm finding an old proverb very true... Nothing simple is
ever easy.

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical

[TOP ISSUE - Are you having difficulty opening presentations in PowerPoint
that you just created (you can save, but not open)? -

Hello,

If none of the suggestions provided give you the functionality that you
were looking for or, if you (or anyone else reading this message) have
suggestions for how and why you think PowerPoint should provide this
functionality (or make it easier), don't forget to send your feedback (in
YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

It's VERY important that, for EACH wish, you describe in detail, WHY it is
important TO YOU that your product suggestion be implemented. A good wish
submssion includes WHAT scenario, work-flow, or end-result is blocked by
not having a specific feature, HOW MUCH time and effort ($$$) is spent
working around a specific limitation of the current product, etc. Remember
that Microsoft receives THOUSANDS of product suggestions every day and we
read each one but, in any given product development cycle, there are ONLY
sufficient resources to address the ones that are MOST IMPORTANT to our
customers so take the extra time to state your case as CLEARLY and
COMPLETELY as possible so that we can FEEL YOUR PAIN.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
