Hello,

till now, I am using cygwin to do so, but maybe there is a more
lightweight way? I only need basic cvs-action, no need for GUI.

Thanks,
Bernd

I haven't got a direct 1-2-3 solution, but the Apache Foundation has
got instructions on accessing their CVS repositories through SSH,
which basically is what you need:

http://www.apache.org/dev/cvs-on-win32.html

If you're using CVS for your own needs, I can warmly recommend a
switch to Subversion: http://subversion.tigris.org/.

I've moved my CVS repo's to SVN about a year ago and haven't
regretted it a single moment. It's much more transparent and clean
to use, has got a great community and responsive developers.

Regards,
Wald

"cvsnt" may help.
