cutting, copying and pasting

I want to move multiple files from one folder to another folder. When I try to do this, the files along with the folder all move into the destination folder. I just want to move all the files simultaneously.

Highlight all the files, right-click on them, and while holding the
right mouse button down, drag them to the destination folder. Release
the button and you will get a menu asking whether you want to move or copy.
