Cut Paste Shutdown

Hi....

While using Cut - Paste from my Camera SD card the PC abruptly went off. After restarting i found that few files got transfered while few were still in the SD card. The files that got transfered shows the Icon of picture file and also occupies memory but when I open them I see a small X. I tried opening it with different views but no result. Is there a way I can get my pictures back. It a whole day effort at stake.
