Cut/paste files to a folder

When I cut/paste a file to a folder, FrontPage automatically changes the
hyperlinks accordingly. For example, if the hyperlink address was
filename.htm, it will become ../foldername/filename.htm after the file is
moved to foldername.

Is there a way to tell FrontPage to NOT change the hyperlink addresses?

Thanks, Robert

I would like to put a copy of all the site files into a folder that I will
use strictly for testing at the host. I use php in some files therefore I
can not test everything on my local PC.

Is there a way copy to a folder and not have the hyperlinks updated?

Thanks, Robert

I'm not sure why you don't want your links updated.

Moving files w/i a web / subweb will not work for what you want to do

Normal practice is to create a subweb for development
Publish your root web to a new subweb w/i your local site
Open the subweb and Publish it to a subweb on your online host
(the subweb can have unique permissions if you want)
- test it, correct it
Then publish the tested subweb back to the root web
