cut copy paste not working

when i try to cut or copy the text and paste on a slide i just get a text
box(empty box). it was working properly yesterday.
I cannot even copy and paste slides
anyhelp would be appreciated.
 
I have tried that, but it still persists
it's wierd that cut copy aste is not working.

Do you have any PowerPoint or Office add-ins installed? Any utilities? Like
clipboard utilities and such?

What add-ins are loaded? http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00655.htm will help you
find add-ins that are loaded in PPT.

thanks for replying so fast
The PC is being used for some other purpose right now
I haven't installed any addins from yesterday when it was working.
It was working perfectly fine till yesterday night
now all i get is a empty box when i try to paste anything.

Where are you copying the text from?

Are you sure you're not pasting white text onto a white background, for
example?

No, I'm copying the text from a normal page layout itself
