Running Windows XP, Home Edition; sharing computer with 3 kids. I do not want certain progams to load as they 'start up' (for example, they don't need the hotsync manager for my PDA or the photo transfer software for my digital camera). However, I want those programs to start up for my user account

I don't know if XP supports this, and if so, how to configure it

Any assistance you can provide is appreciated.

Right click on your Start button and choose Explore. Each user has their
own profile with their own Start Menu. All you need to do is add/remove
whatever shortcuts you want to each of the start menus. There is also a
profile for All Users. Place shortcuts here that you want available for
everyone, rather than replicating them on each start menu.
