I just received Outlook 2003 with my new computer. I can't say I like the
interface very much -- too much junk on the screen.

Is there a "skin" or some other thing I can get to make it look more like
the old Outlook -- flatter colors, etc.?

Thanks.

"too much junk on the screen"

maybe you have too many things open - just a folder list on the left and
outlook today on the right looks fairly minimal - if your in XP you may want
to go back to the 'XP Classic' theme?

I'll look at that -- seems the right way to do it. I haven't played with
"themes." Thanks.

Responding to my own post:

Okay, I put the word "themes" in Outlook 2003 help, I get references from
the Microsoft website. One of them is the way to change the theme in
Outlook. The instructions say to go to Windows Control Panel, and click on
Appearances and Themes. My Control Panel has no such choice.

Why must Windows be so maddening???? Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,

Thats just Windows help being useless

1.. In Windows Control Panel, click Appearance and Themes, and then click
Change the computer's theme.
2.. In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Appearance tab.
Step number 1 ASSUMES your control panel is using category view and not
classic view (the one with normal icons). So just go to control panel and
double click Display icon and continue from step 2 (this is the Display
Propertise dialog box).

OS's Tip of the Day : Right hand click an empty area of the desktop and hit
Propertise to bring up the Display Propertise.

Regards,

OS
