In XP Home, is there a way to customizing these settings and have them
stay/stick?

I keep losing them when I exit and restart.

Thanks,
Mo

HI Mo

I don't know if this works for HOME, but the next time you create a MMC, save it with a name that's good for you. That creates a 'yourname'.msc file. When you want to run the MMC again, go-start - run - yourname.msc <enter>.

Thanks Don,
I was calling the snapin directly. Your approach is what I was after.

Thanks much

Hi Mo

What is the command/function you are running to get the 'customize option?
What do you get if you: Start - Run - Key: MMC <Enter> In 'PRO you get a
blank console with a menu bar at the top. From the file menu you can 'Add
Remove Snapin........' to add only those functions you want. Then from the
file menu you can 'Save as' to any name you choose and the extension
defaults to .msc.
