I UPGRADED FROM WINDOWS Me TO XP RECENTLY AND I DON'T KNOW
HOW TO ADD A PICTURE AS BACKGROUND TO A FOLDER AS I USED
TO IN Me. CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME ?????

XP works like 98/2000. However the dialog has been removed. The easy way is to install this program
http://www.clonesoft.com/shareware/index.htm

These settings are stored in a text file called desktop.ini in the folder customised. You can copy from 98/2000 to XP but view them first and remove extra settings.

Try the following:

1) Right click on the folder you are trying to customize and select
[Properties]
2) Of the three tabs available, select [Customize]
3) In the Folder pictures section click on [Choose Picture...]
4) From the View menu of you current folder, select [Thumbnails]

Note: this will not affect a folders on the desktop.

Hope this helped!
