Customize Windows Explorer ?

On my PC W. Explorer always opens with the hierarchy Desktop-> My
Documents (opened to show all folders) -> My Computer (folders
closed)

I usually would like to start at 'Local Disk (C:)'.

How can I control the view so that it shows:

Desktop -> My Computer -> Local Disk (C:)

Right click your shortcut to Windows Explorer and choose Properties.
On the Shortcut tab change target to

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e,C:
