Customize Switchboard

We will use multilple instances of a database. We want the instance name to
appear on the switchboard. So I would like to store that info in a table and
then have it listed on the switchboard form.

Unsure how to do this.
 
I will have multiple copies of the same app with different mdb names. We are
tracking product serial number for FDA studies. Each study will have its on
mdb file. I want to be able to put the study name on each mdb's switchboard
so the operators can id which study they are entering data. I want the
program administrator to be able to copy the mdb to a new name and then when
they start it, be able to add the Study name so that it will appear on the
switchboard. I would thing it would be best to have a form for this and
store in a table that would only have one record.

When I add a text box to the swithboard form, I can't enter data in the
filed nor do I know if it would hold it.
