I have a new/clean installation of WindowsXP fully
updated from the MS website (yea all 40Meg).
I installed MS Office 2000 and fully updated that to
SR3 !!
All works fine with the exeption of "Customize Outlook
Today"... ie nothing happens. No error message nothing.
The button is there and it depresses !! Like ME.

The knowledge base doesn't seem to have the answer, Has
anyone any idea? All I want to do is get the thing to
start up in my inbox instead of Outlook Today..
Regards, Max

Solved Thanks to Stardotstar post:-

Quit Outlook 2000.
Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and
then click
OK.
Locate and then click the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Application
Compatibility
Click Edit, click New, and then click DWORD Value.
Type Outlook.exe, and then press ENTER. This creates a
new DWORD value
named Outlook.exe.
With the new Outlook.exe DWORD value selected, click
Edit, and then
click Modify.
In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
Quit Registry Editor.
Start Outlook 2000, and then go to the Outlook Today view.
Click Customize Outlook Today, and then customize the
view as
necessary.
