Ok, so I have seen, read and been disappointed in the fact that the BCM forms
are not customizable. However, here's my question........

I want to be able to track other information about the contact that has
nothing to do with "monkeying" around with the BCM accounts, contacts etc.
Can I add an additional tab to the Outlook contact form include my additional
fields and have BCM not care?

Customization of forms and drop down lists have been added in new version of
BCM. Currently it is avialble as part of Office 2007 Beta program.

A lot of responses to posts in this forum are implying that BCM v3 already
exists as a viable solution for several issues that users are currently
facing. BCM v3 show a lot of promise for improvement but it needs to be
clear that this is currently a beta release only and will remain so for many
months yet to come. Microsoft does not recommend that users adopt this
version 3 beta for mission critical (real world) application. It will likely
not be until around January '07 that the public release (finished) version of
BCM v3 will happen. Unless you are a tech minded programmer prepared for the
nuances of using a beta version, BCM v2 remains your existing "supported"
option for use right now in a real world business setting.

No you can't. There is no customization available under v2.

It seems your question is about customizing Outlook contact form. This is
not correct newsgroup for that.
Post your question to microsoft.public.outlook or
microsoft.public.outlook.program_form and you will get your scenario
answered.

BCM Contact is stored in separate store so anything you do with Outlook
contact form, BCM is not going to care about.
