Hi there,

How can I change how drives are shown when one is trying to access files to
the following:

(A): dfkjakfkajkfa
(C): djafkjdakjfa
(I): jdkafjkfak
(W): kasdfkajk
(P): ajdfakjdfj

instead of the current display of::

jafkjakjfkajfkakajfkja (A):
dfakjdkajkfajkfajkajk(C):
jafkjakjdsfkajk(I):
fakjdfakjdsakfdskakja(W);
faksjdfkajkdsjafka(P):

Cheers!

TweakUI XP has an option to control this in the My Computer->Drive Letters section.

TweakUI XP has an option to control this in the My Computer->Drive Letters section.

I have found this to be somewhat buggy function.
It works, but the labels on the radiobuttons are misplaced

1) Show all after (works correctly)
2) Show all before (works as 3)
3) Show network before and local after (works as 4)
4) Never show letters (works as 2)

Can someone verify this? Should it be reported? Where?

Are you sure about this? If so, then I can write a patch to fix it. As for reporting it, don't hold your breath. It's "bonus"
software which as far as I know, is unsupported.

You're correct .Keith Miller reported this problem long time ago. Please
check the following thread.

Absolutely sure, using Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] and TweakUI
[2.10.0.0].
It doesn't need a fix for my sake as it has all the functionality, just took
me 15 minutes of logging on and off to find out how to use it.
Still it's clearly an easy fix for the right person at MS. And even though
it is unsupported it's an extremely useful and widely used tool.
So if it gets updated I feel this should be fixed. That's all :)

And, thanks for replying.

Thanks for confirming.
Good to know it's a known bug.
So it's probably on some dusty todo-list, although it might never get done.

Of course, but it doesn't get updated, although they'll probably release a whole new version later on when Vista comes out, but that
will be pretty different from this, so it will be moot.
