Customize Folder Icons

I have XP Home SP2. I want to use some custom-made icons on a few
system folders. The settings won't stick -- they revert to the
default yellow folder icon. How can I get them to stick? Thanks!

First, right-click the folder/file that you want to change the icon and
select "Properties."

Then, go to the "Customize" tab. Once there, click "Change Icon". Navigate
to where your .ico file is located, and select "Open". Click OK, and you
should be done!
