I was wondering if anyone knows a way that I can customise the
Log Off *USERNAME*
text in the Windows XP start menu? Because of the way our users log
on/off, the username text in here can be rather confusing.

With Win2K we used to disable the log off option and added our own
logoff icon, but that appeared at the top of the Start Menu, not in
the usual place just above "Shut Down". If it's possible we'd like to
have XP looking as "standard" as possible.

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Kelly,

Tried entering DAVESPC in the computer description field, but the text
still remains "Log Off MYUSERNAME"

I'd love to find a way to configure all of our XP boxes to just say
"Log Off", "Log Off Computer", "Log Off Windows"... anything except
"Log Off USERNAME" really!!

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,

Go to Start/Run and type in: LUSRMGR.MSC
Then double click Users, user in question and change what is written under
Full Name.
