Does anyone know how to change the colour of the teal coloured bar running
across the top of all explorer windows with the customise / views etc
buttons on?
Also maybe the blue bar at the top in windows mail?
IMO it looks ok when in the default theme, but change to some other colours
& it looks odd.

there are ways to customize it, but that deals with replacing several
systemfiles.

Google after "shellstyle.dll" ( that is the file where the colours of the
bars are "stored" in ) and "uxtheme.dll" together with "vista" as keywords,
should bing up some instructions and resources, places to lookup.

It's not that easy to do !
be warned and make backups of the original files.
If it goes wrong you might have to reinstall the OS.

Oh, the OP was about skinning and themes. I thought he wanted to change the
actual buttons. I really hope TweakUI for Vista allows you to change the
Explorer toolbar.
