Hey All:

It's been a while since I've posted here, but I haven't had any ppt projects
for quite some time. My local Chamber of Commerce asked me to put together
a bid on a ppt for an economic development sales presentation. They also
want a contract and they want it Monday morning. I am not an attorney and
have nothing in the budget to hire one, so I am looking for a cookie cutter
power point contract that I can edit for the particular job. Does anybody
have anything out there that they might be willing to share? I would really
be grateful. Thanks!

Hello Bob,

This is a more sensitive topic for a forum as it relates to business
practices vs. how-to's. Here is some information that will hopefully be of
assistance. My contracts are more open ended in that I do not specify items
like number of slides (ie. an animation may take 2-3 slides to visually
create) or number of revisions, etc. I would recommend wording a simple
outline/contract on professional letterhead that has details like these:

- Today's date
- (your name/company) will complete a multimedia presentation using
PowerPoint for the (city) Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Sales
presentation.
- Project timeline, at time of this contract, is from (date) to (date).
- Presentation will be created using PowerPoint (97-2000-2002/2003)
animations, transitions and effects.
- Presentation will include customized PowerPoint template, (fill in
description that pertains to project).
- A (PPT, PDF, printout, ?) will be supplied for review and modifications
noted will be completed for further review. (If this is a "flat rate"
project a disclaimer about # of revisions and timeline may be prudent)
- (city) Chamber of Commerce will provide all content in outline format for
each slide.
- Any supplied digital images need to be at minimum 5" wide x 100 DPI in
standard format (.jpg, .tif, .eps, etc.)
- (city) Chamber of Commerce will have rights to all images and content of
approved final presentation.
- All images provided by (you/company) are royalty free, either created by
(you) or from stock imagery companies.
- (city) chamber of commerce will sign-off a (printout, CDROM) to approve
presentation as finalized.
- (your name/company) will supply 2 master CDROMs of approved final
presentation for use and duplication.
- Project will be completed for (flat fee, hourly rate, or ?) (also specify
if rate listed includes or has additional rates for scanning, custom audio
or video editing, photo shoots, etc.)
- Deposit to begin work is $_____, due by (date) and payable to
(you/company).
- Balance due (#) days after master CDROMs delivered with detailed project
invoice.
