Custom video effects/transitions: Are they possible?

While I think the built-in selection of effects and transitions are quite
good, they just aren't quite enough for certian things. Is there either a way
I can A) create/download and import custom effects and transitions, or B)
modify or create them from within WMM?
 
There are ways to create custom effects and transitions. I just did a search
on Google and here's what I came up with:

Hello there,

There are some really excellent professional effects and transitions you
can buy from Pixelan.....if you want something there complete package does
not do then you probably need to go to a better video editing package like
MovieDV Ver 6...links to both are on my website.
