Custom shells and Anti-X

I have an Anti-X (anti-virus, anti-spam, firewall, etc) client running
and working on XPe. But right now i have the image to autologon and
run I.E. as the shell. Does that mean the Anti-X software isn't
protecting???

That would depend how it's started. If it's a service, you're probably
good.
