Access 2000. I need a way to insert a new record in my form only by
pressing the INSERT key. How do I do this? Thank you. Carl

You'll get into trouble using a key that already legitimately used for text
editing.
The Access shortcut key for new record is Ctrl +.

look up AutoKeys in Access Help. i agree with Al, though - i don't think i'd
do it. every key on the keyboard already has a designated function. at the
very least, you'd lose that function *in that database*. i couldn't guess
what additional unknown or unexpected problems might crop up, immediately or
(worse) over time, and i wouldn't want to find out the hard way.

i don't think pressing two keyboard keys at the same time is a lot to ask of
your users - after all, anybody who types has to press Shift+ a letter to
get a capital letter.
