custom form in Add-In

Hello

I am very new to the Outlook development so forgive my questions

am trying to put together in .NET an add-In for Outlook that would have a
custom toolbar visible when users are in the contact management area of the
outlook interface
And also it needs to add a few extra controls to the default Contact form or
replace the default Contact form with a custom one (which ever is easier)

I may be able to figure out how to do the toolbar


But what do I do for the form?

Do I develop the form in the Outlook, save it as a template file and then
include with the installation off the Add-in? How do I tell Outlook to
switch to the new Contact form during the installation?

Yes, you would need to provide an installation routine for your form. You
can code it with the FormDescription.PublishForm method. Substituting your
form for the default globally requires a registry change. See
