I am working on a web application that uses virtual urls. These urls
have custom extensions. An example would be "search.list" as the page
name. The server would take the http request and return a webpage.
Before today this worked fine and displayed the page. However in IE it
is now prompting for downloads and there is no way to view the file as
a page without saving it to a temp directory.
I believe this is due to a recent update that we may have recently
installed. There have been no changes to the server and other browsers
work correctly.
I've tried changing the windows file associations without any luck.
I've dug through all the IE settings that I could find but may have
missed the needed setting.
These virtual pages contain the proper meta content and are xhtml
transitional. (but I think this may have nothing to do with any meta
settings)
My IE version is 6.0.26.00.2180.xpsp_2_gdr.050301-1519
I am using the default web setting for Internet Explorer.
My computer has all the current updates.
Any help or advise is greatly appreciated.

P.s. I will gladly take a rtfm response as long as someone points me to
the right manual.
