I have an application that uses custom chart types. I'm
now running Excel 2002 under XP Professional. These
chart types in prior version of Excel were stored in the
XLgalry.xls, and more recently XLUSrgal.xls. I can't
find these files on my machine.
1) What is the file and the path where these user-defined
custom chart types are located? Are they hidden?
2) Could I deploy this appplication by copying that file
to the target machine's directory? (albeit risking an
overwrite). I want to avoid going over to each
propective user's machine and updating chart types by
opening Excel.
3) What is the most elegant, programmatic way of using
the specialized chart types without overwriting custom
chart types already defined on the target machine?
