custom animation in power point

Is there anyway to do this?

My boss would like me to create a presentation game with hyperlinks to
resemble Jeopardy. I have the main screen with categories and $'s and have
them hyperlinking to the questions and answers. The thing I can't figure out
is if there is a way to remove or gray out the dollar amount after it is
clicked on. I can remove it on the exit but when I go back to the main page
it is there. Any thoughts to remove it completely?

Or is there a better program to use?
