Cursor returns to first record in subform after updating second record

In Access 2003, I have a main form and a subform linked by two fields. The
user enters data in the fields in the subform. However, after entering data
in the second record, the pointer moves to the first record. There is no
requery or refresh. This does not happen with the subform on its own. Is
there a solution? Desperate for an answer.

Thanks to you all out there.

Thanks Barry.

I checked the settings and they were all OK. Changing them didn't solve the
problem either.

My description of the error was not quite correct. It only jumps back to the
first record from the second record having updated the first record (not the
second record as I originally said).

Go to Tools, Options, Keyboard tab. The options there might be a factor.
