I have a problem with the cursor in Word. Today for no apparent reaso
it changed to a very small – just slightly taller than a twelve poin
‘i’ – vertical line. Not only is it hard to find, but it also make
part of the letter I am typing disappear until I move on to the nex
letter.

This has happened to me before and I can’t remember whether I fixed i
or it just got fixed by itself. At any rate, even if it was me tha
fixed it I can’t remember how.

Any ideas, anyone

Go into the Control Panel > Mouse > Pointers (tab) > in the "scheme" pop
down menu choose an appropriate Pointer with large enough cursor bar.

Does the problem survive a Windows reboot? (Very few problems do. <g>)

Well, it fixed itself. Don't ask me how, because I have no idea.

I closed down Word and when I opened it again a few minutes later th
proper cursor had returned. I can assure you that I did NOTHING unusua
at all.

So all said and done, does anyone know how to fix it if it happen
again

Close and reopen Word. If that doesn't work, shut down and restart Windows.
And don't even consider posting a question until you've done both! <g>

With all due respect, or at least most of it, I already posted that I'd
done that. And in the interim I had closed and reopened Word, as well
as rebooted Windows, many times. Nothing happened. Then all of a sudden
it just fixed itself!
