Hi there,

I experience some problems with cursor and mouse in XP.
For example if I am in a word document, or even in this
screen and enter text and the mouse is not sitting under
the text but above, the cursor jumps to the position of
the mouse pointer.

How can I switch that of?

Thanks!
Hein

If you have the Category View selected in Control Panel:

Start -> Control Panel -> Printers And Other Hardware -> Mouse ->
Pointer Options Make sure the box marked "Automatically move pointer
to the default button in a dialog box" is not checked

If you have the Category View selected in Classic Panel:

Start -> Control Panel -> Mouse -> Pointer Options Make sure the box
marked "Automatically move pointer to the default button in a dialog
box" is not checked

It does not sound like a "snap to"problem as the cursor is jumping, not the
mouse pointer. It sounds like the cursor is moving like it would if the
mouse was clicked.
Have you tried another mouse for the heck of it? If that did not work I
would try to reinstall the Intellipoint software.

Are you using a laptop with a touchpad? I find on mine, that while I'm
typing, I'll accidently tap the pad, cauasing the cursoe to kunp.
