Cursor Jumps in Outlook

I have 2 recurring Outlook problems:

In Outlook, the cursor jumps around on its own, opening
pull-down boxes and moving to previous messages in the
list.

If Outlook is open, I can't view any other window, e.g.
Explorer without the Outlook page jumping to the front.
