Cursor freezes for a few seconds...then let's me move it.

I was looking for help on something. Lately my mouse cursor freezes on the screen...after 2 seconds or so it allows me to move it. This is a pain trying to play any games.

Try removing the ball and cleaning out the recess under it.
They usually pick up a lot of lint, and interferes with the ball rolling
properly.

I'm having the same problem and I'm using a
MicrosoftIntellimouse with a red light under the mouse
(not a ball). So cleaning the ball isn't a fix. Any
other suggestions?
