I wonder if someone can help!

I run Ppt XP and WINXP. When running slides in slide show
occassionaly the cursor appears on the screen which then
freezes the machine up for a few seconds? I can usually
get the machine back to the slide show by pressing the
nter key, then left mouse button and then enter (don't
ask how I found that out!).

Does anybody konw what's causing this?

Could it be "fast save" or "AutoRecover" being left on?
If so, can anybody tell me why it happens.

Look forwarding to hearing from someone.

Mark,

First I would make sure you have the right mouse drivers installed. Then I
wonder bout your system resources. It could be something is running in the
back ground, hogging all of the resources. Some of this might help,
particularly about the temp folder. Also, do you have a big presentation, or
large movies in the show? Or do you have Norton or an antivirus program
running in the background?

Do this before using PowerPoint seriously

Glen thanks for this...
I know I have the right mouse drivers.
It's not usually a big presentation nor do they contain
large movies.
I do have McAfee Antivirus running in the background.
I'll look into what you've told me and see if it works.
Once again thanks.
