Currupt Email

This moring I went to check my email. I'm using Outlook 2007.

Six messages began to download. The first three downloaded with the correct
day and time. THe last three however downloaded with a date of 6/27 (over a
month ago!) The messages came in as duplicate ones from that my sister sent
me. Each of these three messages had an "image" attached. I tried to open the
image but it wouldn't load, saying it wasn't an image.

My questions: Are the emails corrupt and that's why the downloaded like
that? Is there any way to get the origional emails back? How can I stop this
from happening in the future?

My opinion is that it won't happen again; that this particular instance was a
fluke. It is also my opinion that it's quite possible the messages were
received asecond time and that's why Outlook thought they were new. You can
check this yourself, if you leave copies of messages on the server. Use a web
browser to log into the server mailbox and look for two copies of the message.
If they exist, then you know it wasn't Outlook's fault.
