My current program is Microsoft AntiSpyware Version:
1.0.501 and the Spyware Definition Version is: 5685
(1/28/2005 1:26:05 AM). Auto-Update does not appear to
work so I manually check at least twice a day. There have
been no updates since # 5685 on 1/28/2005. Is there any
site that tells (1) the most current version of the
program and (2)the most current spyware definitions? I
had originally installed MSAS a few weeks ago, but since I
didn't get any definition updates for a few weeks, I
uninstalled the program, cleaned the registry and
reinstalled and all went fine including new updated
definition file version. When attempting a manual update
(both on first install and now on the current install, it
appears to be connecting to the MS server and says (said)
all was current. Obviously this is an error as the
reinstall corrected s false positive and also downloaded
the new definition files. There must be a site that tells
you the most current program version and spyware
definitions version. Thanks.
