Current Date problem

In Word I am unable to Automatically put in the Current
date by typing the month then hitting the space bar & the
Day & year does not appear. I have done
everything "help" has said to do & still it is not
working. Any suggestions on how to fix this??? THANKS

Help is wrong. It doesn't work (at least not for most users). You can have
Word help with the month or with completing the date (after you finish
typing the month), not both.

As Suzanne has suggested, it doesn't work well. A simple workaround is to
insert a CREATEDATE field in a document in the format you want, then save
the result as an autotext entry called date. Either attach the autotext to a
toolbar button or apply a keyboard shortcut to it, or simply type date and
press F3.

This dumb program forgot to put it in. The old "Word" program had it, and I think they just screwed it up. Can't do it!

Forgot to put what in? It is possible to insert a variety of date fields in
any version of Word. See
