I am new, am trying to use desktop connection. It works perfect from my
parents house checking out my pc. But, I need top set up there pc so I can
access from my home, as my father has many questions that if I could just use
his pc and do it for him it would be easier. I am running XP pro they are
running xp home. What do I need to do???

If your trying to remotely access/control a XP Home PC then you can't use
Remote Desktop. Look at using UltraVNC as an alternative. Get the
host/server, client, encryption plug-in (very important) and the XP video
driver (installed on the host/server only) from...

http://ultravnc.sourceforge.net/

You would need to open TCP Port 5900 on any firewall the host/server PC is
behind.

UltraVNC help...
