Hello

I have a curious problem with my brand new computer: Intel PERL 865 motherboard, pentium 4 2.6Ghz, 1Gb memory, seagate 80Gb serial ATA, and Asus V7100 video card. When the computer is first started (in the morning for example), I see a blue screen with something written, but I can't see exactly what's written on this blue screen, as it happens so fast. Then the computer reboots, and ask if i want to boot in safe mode, or normally. If i tell the computer to boot normally, the computer sometimes boot normally, or I may have to this 2 or 3 more times before the computer boots correctly. Any one has any clue on what's happening? Will I have to reinstall Window XP?

Yves,

Your PC is experiencing some critical problem at boot time and crashing.
The fact that this clears up after the PC gets a bit warmer (after a room
temp morning start-up) - may imply that it is a hardware issue with items
such as memory sticks or even a badly seated connector etc.
Thoroughly check out all the internal hardware connections and seating of
memory etc.

A good first step would be to stop the computer from automatically
restarting so that you can see what the blue screen error is.

Right click "My Computer" *or* open "System" in control panel.
Click on the "advanced" tab.
Click the "Settings" button under "Startup and Recovery."
Uncheck "Automatically restart." OK your way out.

This will *not* do anything to resolve your problem. What it will do is keep
that blue screen that flashes by up long enough to see what the actual error
is. That'll give you a good jumping off point for further troubleshooting.
It may identify the driver or component causing the problem.

Post back here, Google, or use the MS Knowledge base to search for specifics
on the error you get.
