When I add a website to 'trusted zone' in IE it takes the real time
protection monitor 5 to 10 minutes to pop up it's warning that a site been
added to the trusted zone....

It's not much good giving the warning AFTER the website has been added....

I cant find any settings or info on how often the real time protection scans
or if it's scanning continuously.

Running XP Pro, SP2...

Wow - that's a bit of a lag, isn't it!

If you get an allow or block choice on that dialog, it'd be nice to choose
block and check what actually happens.

I tried adding www.expedia.com to my trusted sites, via Internet Explorer,
tools, internet options, security tab.

I got an instant popup, and chose to block the change.
I closed IE, reopened it, and rechecked, and Expedia is not listed in my
trusted sites list.

When I open Microsoft Antispyware, and go to Tools, Real-time protection,
View all blocked events, this event is listed:
-----------------------------------------
Internet Explorer Trusted Site: Trusted Site expedia.com

I've been testing it over the last two days with various websites, and it's
taking 20-25 minutes to to pop up it's warning window about a site being
added to the trusted sites zone....

:-(

I think there's a performance issue (i.e. bug) with the app on your machine.

These issues are definitely a concern Microsoft wishes to address in the
course of the beta, but I don't have any idea what additional information
about your machine might be useful. I tend to suspect these issues are
software-related rather than hardware.

It might be interesting to disable all third-party services you believe you
can spare--don't kill any software firewalls!--via MSCONFIG and see whether
the performance changes.
